This 6m x 3m garden room by Miniature Manors was designed and built for a mobile beautician to establish a permanent home-based salon. The space provides a professional environment for offering various treatments while retaining all the advantages of working from home.
From Mobile Beautician to Permanent Salon
The client wanted a dedicated workspace to eliminate the time and expenses of travelling to clients as a mobile beautician. With a growing family, she sought to make use of her garden space to safely store her equipment and avoid cluttering the house. A bespoke salon also allows her to have her tools set up and ready to use, saving time and improving efficiency.
Customised for Beauty Treatments
Miniature Manors specialises in bespoke garden room design, working closely with clients to create spaces tailored to their needs. For this project, the salon was zoned to include areas for a treatment couch, a nail bar, and a pedicure station. To ensure clients could access the salon without entering the main house, a cloakroom with a toilet and basin was integrated into the design.

Light-Filled and Inviting
The client was particularly impressed with the salon’s glazing arrangement. Two sets of anthracite grey sliding doors allow natural light to flood the space, complemented by a rectangular window positioned high on the front wall and an additional window in the cloakroom.
Added Outdoor Space
To enhance the project, Miniature Manors installed a spacious decked area adjacent to the salon. This serves as a relaxing spot for the family and a waiting area for clients.
