2.8m High Garden Gym
The Garden Studio range typically stands at 2.5 metres tall, making it ideal for projects under Permitted Development rules. However, Timeless Garden Rooms can customise the dimensions to suit specific requirements, as seen with this impressive project.
The client sought a bespoke home gym studio to accommodate equipment such as weights, an exercise bike, and a cross trainer. Recognising the need for additional internal headroom, they opted for a 2.8m tall design—300mm higher than the standard model.
Due to the increased height and the studio's positioning, this project required Planning Permission. Timeless Garden Rooms handled the application, ensuring a stress-free experience for their client.
2.8m high garden gyms are becoming increasingly popular. While internal ceiling heights vary depending on a company's construction methods, this height has proven ideal for creating spacious, functional home gym spaces.
Garden Gym Built on Sloping Ground
The expert craftsmanship of the Timeless Garden Rooms team is evident in how they tackled the challenge of sloping ground. They carefully concealed the foundation without drawing attention to the slope.
A standout feature is the way the planed Larch featheredge cladding has been extended below the wall frame, perfectly shaped to follow the ground’s natural profile.
Additionally, the slope at the front of the building has been transformed into a practical and stylish feature. The inclusion of a veranda in front of the bi-fold doors creates a seamless connection between the gym and the outdoor space. Two steps ensure easy access, making the building as functional as it is visually appealing.
