We’ve talked before about the clever range of garden annexes by Zedbox. Exploring the range further we were surprised to see how many different size options and layout configurations are on offer. Zedbox has designed buildings for every size garden and every family’s needs from single bedrooms with ensuite wet room to spacious garden apartments featuring two double bedrooms.
Single garden bedroom
The smallest Zedbox layout is the model 230. This sits on a footprint of 2m wide by 3m deep and is configured as a single bedroom with an en-suite wet room with toilet, basin and shower.
If you were to go a size bigger and choose the model 245 which sits on a footprint of 2m wide by 4.5m long you could add a micro kitchen into the design.
Garden annexe with two bedrooms
Looking at the larger Zedbox models ie the 6m, 7m and 8m wide designs. You can create two separate bedrooms that lead off the main open plan living space. The model 650, for instance, features a double bedroom at the rear and a single bedroom at the front of the annexe. The model 650 is 6 meters wide by 5 meters deep.
If you were to choose to go a meter or two wider you have the option of creating two spacious double bedrooms. The models 750 is 7m wide by 5m deep and the model 850 8m wide by 5m deep.
Designs that meet all the rules and regulations
No matter what size garden annexe you are planning to build it will need to have planning approval and meet current building regulations. The Zedbox team have your back here, they will handle the planning application as part of the project and the Zedbox building system has been type approved by Building Control.
Zedbox homes in the garden are sold on a turnkey basis. This means that the Zedbox team will manage the whole project from initial planning application through to the final connections to the services. This offers customers peace of mind on what is a substantial project.
The turnkey service includes all groundworks associated with the build, such as the foundation and the connection of the water and sewerage to the mains supplies. We point this out because not all companies who sell annexes with shower rooms, undertake the groundworks and connections, leaving their customer with a job to organise after they leave the site. A job that has a significant cost attached to it.
