Following their appearance on ITV1’s The Home Game last week Sanctum Garden Studios have been talking to the Bolton News about the build.
Sam Cullen a director at Sanctum Garden Studios comments:
The idea came about after a visit to our workshop by Karen’s father-in-law who explained his son and daughter-in-law wanted to create a studio at their new home in The Lakes.
Karen then got in touch end explained that she needed a garden room to be used as an art studio, which needed to have lots of light and had to be positioned in a slightly elevated place with views of Lake Windermere.
Sam said there were still a number of challenges to making sure the studio worked perfectly for Karen.
Everything went smoothly with the installation although the height of the base did pose some challenges meaning that the team needed to erect a scaffold safely around it in order to build it safely.
We built Karen a bespoke contemporary studio with a large overhang and lots of glazing, we added a set of bespoke French doors, ad door at the rear and a large full height fixed window to the side. The interior was plastered and inset downlighters were added in the ceiling.
