Are you looking for a tailor-made garden office? Well, you need to talk to the team at Swift Garden Rooms who like nothing better than to implement their client’s wishlist of features into their contemporary designs.
A recent Swift client had a wishlist of design features which wouldn’t be fulfilled with a modular garden office design system. One of the key requests was for the building to have additional soundproofing to the standard specification. Swift Garden Rooms are highly insulated as standard which offers good levels of acoustic performance, but the team are fully au fait with acoustic insulation systems having built a number of soundproof music studios over the years. The extra acoustic insulation has made this office a truly quiet place to work.
The glazed corner of the building is accentuated by a 500mm deep recess which has LED downlights recessed into it. A composite decking board has been used, which has thoughtfully positioned holes cut into it for topiary to be planted, nice touch!.
Glazed corners like on this building are a popular option, but we like how the Swift team have used a tilt opening, full-length window on the side. Most of the garden rooms we see have a fixed window in these situations.
Lozenge windows set at desk height are another option we see quite regularly, but we like how the Swift team have taken this concept a step further by using two windows above the desk. This looks great from the exterior of the building, but we bet it looks even more striking from inside the room and frames the views on to the garden as the owner works.
Swift Garden Rooms finish their buildings to a high specification internally. The interior is fully plastered and decorated with LED downlights recessed into the ceiling. This mixed with wooden flooring creates a modern, airy workspace.
The office will be snug in winter thanks to the high levels of insulation and the thermostatically & timer controlled underfloor heating system.
The Swift Garden Rooms team love the challenge of ticking off the items on their client’s wishlist and implementing them into a garden office design.
