Websites and brochures can provide you with a lot of information about buying a garden room, but there is nothing like seeing, and spending time in one before you buy. There are three key ways of doing this:
Garden room show sites
Several garden room suppliers have examples of their garden rooms on display at their workshops. In most cases, there will be multiple designs and sizes of garden room on display so that you can get a feel for your options.
It is a good idea to make an appointment to visit these show sites, but they will normally arrange a time to suit you.
Garden Hideouts have two show sites. One at the Redfields Garden Centre, Fleet GU52 0AB. The other is at their Hanbury HQ, Drowitch, WR9 7DU. To make an appointment, call 0800 1777 933.
You can see several different designs and sizes of garden room at Green Retreats & The Garden Office indoor show site in Buckinghamshire HP18 OXB. Not far from Bicester Village you could make a day of it! Call them for opening times on 0800 999 8 777 or email them.
Visit a local garden room
The majority of garden room suppliers don't have a showroom. Instead, they have arrangements with past customers to enable new customers to visit their garden room and have a look around.
The beauty of this arrangement is that your chosen supplier probably has a garden room you can view, within an hour or so from your home.
This is a valuable experience as you can spend time in the garden room and also ask the owner questions about their building, and the experience of buying/building it.
To arrange a visit to view a local garden room, contact your chosen supplier and ask them if they can arrange a viewing for you.
Explore garden rooms at shows
Another way of seeing a garden room before you buy is to visit a show where garden room suppliers are exhibiting their work.
The key show for seeing several garden room designs in one visit is Grand Designs Live. This show takes place twice a year, once in London and then again in Birmingham.
As well as being able to see several garden room designs up close, visiting a show also has the added benefit of snapping up a bargain as many suppliers run promotions during the show.
