Many readers of this site like the idea of having a Shepherds Hut in their garden. They ooze traditional charm and can be used for all sorts of things from home office through to a guest bedroom.
The Chatsworth range of Shepherd Huts by Garden Hideouts is perhaps the most luxurious example we have seen. When buying from Garden Hideouts you are not only getting the building, but a fully fitted interior too.
The team behind Garden Hideouts have had a successful career in the canal boat industry, so they are experienced in designing small spaces. They have certainly maximised every inch of space in The Chatsworth Shepherds Hut, creating a multifunctional living space, a kitchen and shower room within the 16ft x 8ft 6in footprint.
As you can see from these photos the Hut has a luxurious feel. The craftsman finished interiors have been designed in conjunction with Bayswater Interiors.
The main living space has a upholstered banquette seating area with hardwood table. This all reconfigures into a double bed. There is a nicely detailed shelving system behind the seating / bed area.
There is a kitchen area features a integrated fringe and a SMEG microwave. We like how the units have been detailed to blend into the panelled wall. The kitchen area is completed with a hardwood work surface and sink.
Not only does The Chatsworth feature a kitchen area but also a shower room, meaning it can act as self contained accommodation.
The shower room has a full size shower, toilet and vanity sink. The room is completed with a mirror and heated towel rail.
The interior is painted with Farrow & Ball paints and there is a quality laminate floor throughout. The windows are dressed with Roman blinds.
The Chatsworth is pre-wired electrically with lights and generous power sockets. The Hut is heated by a LPG powered warm air heating system.
Garden Hideouts make use of the latest computer driven machinery to create the frame of The Chatsworth – this ensures a precision finish which is mixed with a traditional jointing system. The Hut is fully insulated with Rockwool insulation.
The exterior of the Shepherds Hut is finished in a traditional ‘wriggly’ tin. Garden Hideouts have chosen a type that features a durable Plastisol coating meaning it will need little maintenance.
The Hut sits on a chassis that has been designed to ensure its up to the rigours of transportation. The wheels have been forged in the Black Country.
We think this is the most luxurious Shepherds Hut we have seen. With prices from £24,950 you are certainly getting a lot for your money.
