uPVC conservatories are often too hot to use in the summer and then really cold spaces during the winter. For this reason, many homeowners are looking for a better insulated alternative. Garden room extensions are the solution. They can create the same connection with the garden as a conservatory but because they have insulation within the floor, walls and roof, they are comfortable places to spend time in, all year round.
Cre8a offer insulated garden room extensions. They have recently completed a project where they replaced a uPVC conservatory with an insulated extension.
They were asked to replace the old conservatory with an insulated extension the same size. At 4.7m x 2.09m, it is a long narrow room on the side of a bungalow. The foundation and retaining walls were in good condition, so it was decided to fit the new structure on top of them.
The new building features insulation in both the walls and roof structure. This coupled with the modern double glazed doors and windows, will ensure that the room is a usable temprature all year round.
The exterior walls are finished in a specialist composite cladding board that is very low maintenance. Cre8a offer this cladding in a wide spectrum of finishes, from wood finishes to solid colours.
It took the Cre8a team just five days to replace the old conservatory with the new insulated garden room extension. The project cost £7,000.
