We’ve been asked this question a few times recently by people thinking of buying a 2.5m high garden room, and its a fair question as to keep the overall height below 2.5m so the room falls within Permitted Development rules some compromise is made on the internal floor to ceiling height – not much though, and realistically the ceiling height is only fractionally lower that a conventional room.

There are obviously other styles of garden room on the market, and they offer more headroom which is important if you are tall or want to use your garden room for things like a home gym, and we look at the different options in Issue Four of Garden Rooms Magazine.
