Having first seen the HIVEHAUS concept on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces we have long been impressed how designer Barry Jackson has adopted modular design principles to create a building system to create buildings large or small.
Based on a hexagonal footprint you can choose just one module perfect for use as a garden room or home office or combine several modules to create a living annexe complete with kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living spaces.
The hexagonal shape is a clever choice as the modules knit together perfectly creating a more flowing layout than we have seen with say joining round buildings together.
Looking at the HIVEHAUS literature (they have a very detailed brochure which you can request) you have lots of choice when it comes to panels which fill in the six sides of the building. You can even select a panel which is hinged so you can open up the whole section of wall – talk about creating free flowing indoor / outdoor space!
The HIVEHAUS team have paid careful attention to the green credentials of the building which is manufactured off site in factory conditions and can be installed in just a few days with minimal disruption.
HIVEHAUS have a nifty app that allows you to design your own layout.
So, if you are looking for a one room garden room or office or a multi room granny annexe take a look at the HIVEHAUS website or call the team on 01695 722557 to discuss your ideas.
