If you are looking for a unique garden room and are based in London or the Home Counties, then you'll want to check out Handmade Hideaways.
Designer & carpenter Evan leads the Handmade Hideaways team. His background in the garden building industry includes eight years of working for one of the leading treehouse companies.
Evan founded Handmade Hideaways because of a desire to get involved in the design stage of the process, working closely with each customer to create a unique garden room that is tailored to their site and tastes.
Contemporary & traditional style garden rooms
As we can see from these images, Handmade Hideaways flare for design encompasses strikingly contemporary garden rooms and more traditional designs full of charm. Few companies can do both styles so well.
New or reclaimed materials
Exploring Handmade Hideaways work, we were struck by their choice to embrace reclaimed materials for some projects. This showcases Evan's carpentry skills to repurpose the materials and stops them from ending up in the landfill.
As we can see in these images, the garden room projects that have utilised reclaimed materials ooze charm and character.
No standard designs
Normally when introducing a garden room company on this site, we talk about the standard features they offer. We can't do this with Handmade Hideaways because they don't have a standard palette of materials or design templates to choose from.
Instead, Evan and the Handmade Hideaways team will work closely with you to create a building that works for your garden and intended use. You can choose the style of building you like, the palette of materials that will be used - new or reclaimed, and any design features to be included. We hear that they have designed fairy doors into some of their buildings!
Off-grid garden rooms
The Handmade Hideaways team can connect your garden room to the mains services, but if you fancy an off-grid room, then they have several options for you.
Handmade Hideaways can add solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems that can be used for toilets and sinks. For heat, they can install a wood burner into their garden rooms.
