We think its interesting for garden studio buyers to get an idea of what buildings look like as they age. Cedar cladding has become hugely popular on garden studios and unless you seal the wood with a UV protector before its installed it will change colour as it ages. There is nothing wrong with this colour change and the protection the cedar is offering doesn’t alter its just that the sunlight fades the original reddish brown to a sliver grey colour.
Sanctum Garden Studios have sent through images of a garden studio they built a year ago in Brighton. The studio features cedar cladding which started off a reddish brown colour but has weathered to a classy silver grey colour. The grey doors and roof kerb contrast well with the cladding in both its new state and slightly weathered state.
This 2.4m x 4.2m studio was designed to fit in a tight garden. To make full use of the space available the French doors are located on the 2.4m wide elevation rather than the longer side.
The studio is being used as a beauty therapy suite and so the French doors offer good light and as you can see in the images can be thrown open on a warm day.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer quick build times, this studio was fully installed in just two days.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer two ranges of garden studio. The Contemporary Range which this building is from and the Hampton which is a very cost effective garden studio solution. See examples of both ranges in this gallery of Sanctum Garden Studios work.
