We have written previously about the popular Linea Range by Garden Affairs. Many of the examples we have shared before have featured floor to ceiling glazing. You can, however, specify the style and arrangement of doors and windows that works best for you. As this garden office with desk height windows shows.
Examples of Linea garden rooms:
- 2m deep garden office
- Garden room with reflective glazing
- Narrow garden office with store room
- Larch clad garden office with living roof
A 4m x 2m building slots into the corner of the garden between existing trees. The cubed roofline of the Linea range allows it to be sited close to walls and fences without needing to leave room for the roof overhang that is present on some other garden office designs. This design detail maximises the space available.
Garden Affairs customer chose to mix a single glazed door with a double desk height widow on the front elevation and a smaller desk height window on the side wall.
The exterior of the building is clad in a low maintenance Larch cladding. Larch has a lovely grain detail which is enhanced with the application of a stain. The choice of brown stain, in this case, contrasts well with the grey door and window frames which are painted in the Garden Affairs factory before arriving on site.
The garden office is completed with a living roof covering which helps a garden office blend into the garden. The Sedum plants used are chosen as they provide colour and interest throughout the year. They also require little maintenance to stay looking good.
The office is fully insulated and double glazed. Electric sockets and lighting were incorporated into the structure, just requiring connecting to the mains supply.
