We always think its useful for prospective purchasers to see how garden rooms are built, so we were delighted to receive this gallery from Arc De Triomphe LTD.
This is Arc De Triomphe’s first garden room project, and its a big one to start with at 3.5m x 7.5m!
The garden room is built onto a concrete slab foundation with drain all round, the fully insulated timber frame is clad in vertical cedar tongue & groove boards and features 3m wide oak doors, the flat roof is a two layered system. Inside the garden room is fully plaster boarded, painted and features a tiled floor.
From the outside the proportions of the building looks like one room, but in fact the building comprises of a 3.1 x 5.8m garden office with a 3.1 x 1.2m storage area accessed by a door on the side of the building.
The cedar decking offsets the building well, and features deck lighting and strip lighting underneath, which must look great at night.
This garden room is fully equipped electrically with 35 electrical points including two telephone lines, Internet and TV points.
The photos show a high attention to detail with crisp cladding and detailing, the project cost £20,000 plus VAT which seems extremely good for this size of building, the customer is clearly pleased:
I am so pleased I trusted my initial reaction and hired this father and son team to build my “Man Cave” at the end of the garden. Many people can call themselves builders but these guys are craftsmen with an eye for detail. Anyone who wants top quality work done would be hard pressed to find better rated people. When you come to take out references (which I would always advise) Arc has my number & I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Many thanks, Jon Roberts
