Insulated garden rooms are a great solution if you want to create a home cinema room. A dedicated room that you can kit out with a projector, screen, surround sound and comfortable sofas.
Because of the high levels of insulation and easy to control heating, you can enjoy film nights in comfort, every day of the year.
Bespoke garden room designers like Aroha Escapes will work with you to create a building around your specific needs and ideal layout.
They will also work with you to incorporate the cabling and equipment you'll need for reliable streaming of TV and films.
Aroha Escapes designed and built this spacious home cinema room which cleverly incorporates an outdoor dining room alongside.
The Aroha Escapes team worked closely with their client on this project to create their ideal layout. You are not going to find a standard garden room design that works as well as this for two distinct uses.
While large expanses of glazing are popular for many garden room uses, when it comes to a home cinema you want to be able to exclude light easily.
In this case, the Aroha Escapes team have incorporated a letterbox style window for easy ventilation and French doors which have blinds fitted. As we can see from the image above, this combination leaves plenty of wall space for a large sofa and a big screen.
Sky TV & Wi-Fi Cabling
The Aroha Escapes team handled the fitting of the cinema equipment. This included incorporating Sky TV and data cabling from the house to create reliable streaming of films and tv shows.
The electrical specification also included panel heaters, which combined with the 100mm thick insulation in the floor, walls and roof ensure a room that will be comfortable to use even on the coldest days of the year.
Small WC incorporated
In one corner of the cinema room, the Aroha Escapes team have incorporated a compact wc with a small sink. There is no need to pop back to the house mid-film for the loo!
Outdoor dining room
Alongside the insulated cinema room is an outdoor dining room. This is a much simpler structure, with the framework and exterior Siberian Larch cladding on show, but has cleverly been tied in with the cinema room to create one cohesive building.
The dining area is 3 meters wide x 3.5 meters deep and as we can see from the photos offers plenty of room for a large dining table.
The combination of the roof with the open front wall creates a versatile inside/outside entertainment space that can be used in all weathers!
