As well as designing and building contemporary style garden rooms that standalone in your garden, Garden Room Living also design contemporary house extensions. Hot on the heels of showcasing their work at Grand Designs Live, they have sent through an illustration of a Cedar clad extension they are working on in Gloucestershire.
This image shows how the Garden Room Living team will work with you to create your ideal extension that maximises the space available. In this case, the new extension spans the width of the house, creating a large new room.
There is no fear of this new room making the rooms behind it dark. As you can see a lot have glazing has been incorporated into the design. Two sets of French doors with full height fixed glass panes on either side have been spaced along the front elevation. Two narrow, full height windows have been positioned on the end wall. A key feature of the design though is the two roof lanterns in the roof which will flood the room with light.
Although a timber extension, there will be nothing rustic about the internal finish. The new room will feature the crisp finishes associated with a new build house. Inside the room will feature fully plastered and decorated walls and ceiling. Typically, this finish would be mixed with a wooden flooring.
