Whilst most of the garden rooms we feature here on The Garden Room Guide are timber framed, but a number of buyers are looking for a brick built version, Bathstome Garden Rooms are able to build both modern timber framed structures and their brick built counterparts.
Bathstone Garden Rooms have recently completed this brick garden room in London, designed for use as a home office. The room was designed in such a way to compliment the style of the clients house.
The garden room was designed in a similar style as many of Bathstone Garden Rooms buildings, although to take advantage of open views across the garden, a fully glazed front elevation was requested by the client.
To soften the lines Bathstone put the two glazed sections on either side at an angle, which improved the appearance from both inside and out.
Joinery was grey powder coated aluminium, which as always has a very good multi locking system to meet insurance standards, and protect the office equipment that was to be kept inside.
One of the side sections is a glass door, and the central section along the front is a set of large sliding patio doors.
All along the outside are overhead recessed down-lights which illuminate the front elevation, making it very attractive after dark. All lighting systems can be controlled remotely from indoors.
As often required by Bathstone’s customers, they installed underfloor heating, and on this occasion a climate control unit as well.
In all, it will make a very comfortable home office, and the clients are looking forward to avoiding the London Traffic!
