Executive Garden Rooms have recently completed this contemporary styled garden room designed to maximise the clients views of the Dorset valleys.
The client met Executive Garden Rooms when they exhibited at the Dorset County Show and liked the idea of a garden room but were worried that access to the site would be a problem. The customers had a terraced cottage which had no access from the front and limited access from the rear of the garden, Executive Garden Rooms assured them that with their hand built garden rooms this would not be a problem, and worked with the customers to design a room which provided flexible workspace at one end and at the other a large expanse of glass so they could sit, relax and take in the wonderful views that the property enjoyed.
Alison from Executive Garden Rooms offers more insight into the building process:
We design each garden room to meet the customers requirements, the bespoke garden rooms are hand built on site and all the doors and windows are hand built to extremely high specification (the doors are 56mm thick). The client wanted the windows at the end of the garden room to open to create airflow but to keep the pet chickens out, therefore we designed bottom hung, full height, tilt in, hand built sealed units to solve the problem.
This build took 4 weeks in the shortest winter month with a hand dig and a full concrete slab, the specification of the garden room was extremely high, with underfloor heating finished with 19mm oiled oak flooring on top. The project came in around £1,200 per sqm.
