Garden Fortress have recently completed this stylish garden room, the design of which had to overcome the problems of a sloping site.
Many homeowners fear that they can’t have a garden room because their garden is sloping, but with modern foundations and clever design, a sloping site is not too much of a problem for experienced garden room designers.
Garden Fortress have worked with the client to include a veranda area with step which cleverly disguises the sloping site. The customer chose blue deck lights and down lights in the roof canopy to really make a feature of the area, for connivence all the lighting works off remote control, meaning you can switch on the lights in the garden room from the main house!
5m x 3m makes a good size garden room and a size we’re seeing chosen quite frequently. The build took two members of the Garden Fortress team 13 days to build, which is competitive considering it was built from scratch on site.
We rather like the way the customer has chosen just a pair of doors in the centre of the wall, which really shows off Garden Fortress’s crisp cladding detailing – this makes a change from a whole wall of glazing. The interior of the room is no less light and airy for having smaller windows as these photos show.
