Ever wondered how a garden room is built? Well this photo gallery clearly shows the different stages of the build, from basic frame to completed building. This super garden room has been built by Garden Living Rooms for use as a therapy room, as they explain:
We have recently finished building a Garden Therapy room for Alison Lancaster in Wigton nr Carlisle. Alison is a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist and wanted a special place to treat clients in a safe environment, Garden Living Rooms has provided a 5metre by 4metre studio which benefits from underfloor heating under laminate flooring with special mood enhancing down lights to create a soft warm environment, this is important when treating her clients.
The building has a steel base frame on adjustable legs, a sips construction including floor, walls and roof with a one sheet rubber epdm roof covering this means the structure can be built in a day once the steel base frame has been put in place, the walls are then wrapped in breathable membrane and latted before cladding. Decking 2 metres wide by the length and width of the building then finished it off, in all the job took 5 days to complete the garden room and 2 days for the decking.
