The Stable Company

The Stable Company offers a number of garden room solutions, from low level garden rooms which can be situated close to the boundary line to eco garden rooms with sedum green roofs.

Garden room projects start with a site visit which enables The Stable Company to survey the proposed site, assess and advise on the need for planning permission and discuss the garden room’s specification and material choices. After this site visit The Stable Company will provide you with a quotation for all work to be undertaken.

If planning permission is required for your garden room, The Stable Company can help you with this either by supplying you with drawings and specifications or by handling the whole planning process on your behalf. All The Stable Company’s garden rooms are designed to fall within the planning permission height restrictions, The Mono range for instance comes in two heights, the standard being 3m at the front running down to 2.5m at the rear. The Mono-Low has a maximum height of 2.5m meaning that it can be situated within 2m of a properties boundary line.

The Mono is available in three standard widths by any depth, and is fully insulated and pre wired for comfortable year round use. The Mono has a sturdy floor which includes 197mm engineered joists and 150mm of glasswool insulation. The walls are built using a traditional timber frame with glasswool insulation packed between the studs, externally a breather membrane controls the inward movement of moisture and the 18mm thick Thermowood cladding is fixed over treated battens. Internally garden rooms are finished with Fermacell boards which are painted in your choice of colour. The floor is finished in hardwearing laminate. As standard doors and windows are low maintenance, double glazed UPVC and the customer has the flexibility in choosing the positioning of these.

The Duo is built to the same high specification as The Mono but features a traditional pitched roof which is finished in attractive Western Red Cedar shingles. The Duo is available in 12 standard sizes from footprints of 7.5m2 to 17.3m2. The Duo has an eaves height of 2.5m and the ridge comes in at less than 4m.

The Eco range incorporates a sedum green roof which is not only the most aesthetically pleasing of roof coverings but offers many benefits. Green roofs provide garden rooms with greater thermal and acoustic insulation than other roof coverings and replace the natural eco system that is removed by the building itself.

If the standard specifications aren’t enough The Stable Company offer a range of optional extras such as blinds, decking, skylights, internal partitions and quality French doors.

Unlike many garden room suppliers The Stable Company include the foundation system in the price, meaning that this is not a hidden cost of buying a garden room and the installation of the garden room is hassle free from start to finish.

Onsite installation typically takes less than a week and The Stable Company offer aftercare on all buildings meaning that if anything needs adjusting as the building settles they are just a phone call away. This aftercare is backed up by a 10 year insurance backed guarantee which offers additional peace of mind.

The Stable Company are one of the few garden room companies to offer Energy Performance Certificates on their garden rooms. The Energy Performance Certificate is used across Europe to assess and control a buildings carbon emissions and environmental impact. The Stable Company’s garden rooms have received an impressive ‘C’ rating for energy efficiency and a ‘B’ rating for environmental impact, the scale runs from A-G with ‘A’ being a building with the lowest impact. The Stable Company’s garden rooms outperform the average UK house which has a ‘D’ rating.

Prices for The Mono range start at £11,095 plus VAT for a 4m x 3.57m building. If you are in business The Stable Company can offer finance for your garden room meaning you can pay for it over 2,3 or 4 years.
