Garden rooms make excellent extensions
There’s a lot of talk on The Garden Room Guide about self contained garden rooms for use as garden office, garden studios, home gyms or guest accommodation but we have not talked about garden rooms attached to your house, often known as sunrooms.
Attached to the house like a conservatory, a sunroom is a more substantial building. Modern sunrooms are stylish, contemporary additions which are built to a high specification and offer many benefits over a conservatory, such as better insulation so the sunroom does not over heat in summer but is comfortable to use in winter.
Decorated Shed amongst other garden room suppliers can design a garden room that is suitable for attaching to the house as a sunroom. Built to the same high standards as their standalone garden rooms a Decorated Shed sunroom would be a stylish addition to any house.
Like conservatories, a sunroom falls within permitted development rights so often does not require planning permission or building regulations. You should check with your local planning office or use the nifty tools on the Planning Portal before you start work.
Decorated Shed are looking at sunrooms on their blog this week.
