‘Cute’ is the first word that springs to mind when you first see Future Rooms’ ‘SOLO’ garden room. But ‘cute’ doesn’t need to compromise space or quality.
Just as in George Clarke’s “Amazing Spaces” on Channel 4, sometimes the best things come in small packages. Here small really is beautiful, the SOLO is the smallest of the Future Rooms’ range yet perfectly proportioned at 2.4m squared.
Although the room has been designed for one person – hence the name ‘Solo’ – the floorspace inside does not feel cramped or claustrophobic, even with the optional bookcase and desk which can be fitted as an extra if required by Future Rooms.
The Solo has been designed as a result of direct customer feedback and enquiries. For many people, the key features and priorities when considering a garden office were size, price, quality and visual appearance. The Solo combines these perfectly and its height of just under 2.5m also means that that it doesn’t have the headache of requiring planning permission.
Installation is quick and easy too, with each room on average taking two to three days on site to construct and install. A light and two electric sockets come as standard as does a melamine wall finish and oak-laminate flooring. Built in birch-ply desk and shelves can be built as optional extras too.
Optional lighting around the external soffit makes the Solo an aesthetically-pleasing and cosy addition to any garden, day or night, and a definite talking point when friends and family come ‘round and catch a glimpse of it.
The Solo is the latest addition to the Future Rooms garden room range that can deliver bespoke rooms in any space. Future Rooms have gone from strength to strength this year having designed a range of nine iconic Garden rooms all made to suit the end-user – both practically and according to budget.
The Solo is designed with the corner of a smaller garden in mind, the large glass panel and door (both 1200mm) meet at the right hand corner to create a feeling of symmetry, light and space in the room inviting the garden inside without bringing in the sometimes undesirable weather of the outside space!
Could the Solo get any more perfect? The price for the Solo is pretty perfect too; the basic room starts from just under £5,000 excluding VAT.
