Omdeco
Omdeco Garden Studios are available in Essex, Buckinghamshire and North London, their bespoke service handles everything from initial design through to building completion, including the foundation and electrical connection.
Omdeco offer a design service which includes a full site survey, they charge around £250 for this service but will refund this cost on presentation of the final invoice, if the project goes ahead.
All buildings are built from timber from sustainable sources and are handcrafted on site. A standard specification includes a 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab, one course of engineering brickwork and a damp proof course upon which the 75mm thick pressure treated timber frames are fixed. The walls are clad externally with a waterproof breathable membrane and finished in featheredge boarding or matching which can be treated in a colour preservative. The roof can be flat or pitched with either high performance felt, shingles or tiles and Velux type roof lights for year round natural light can also be included. Windows and doors are double glazed with security locks, the same as you would use in house building. The floor would be constructed of 75mm insulation over a damp proof membrane and finished with T&G particle board ready for the final floor covering, laminate, vinyl or carpet. Our floors, although flexible will not bounce. Internally the walls and ceilings are plaster boarded with a skim plaster finish; skirting and architraves are added ready for decoration. Electric lighting, power and heating will finish the building off and other services can be added as required.
If your site dictates that planning permission is required, Omdeco can arrange this for you and buildings are built one at a time so there’s no fear of your workmen going off site to another job! Buildings are normally fully finished in 3 weeks.
All Buildings are individually priced, but as a guide a 2.5m x 4m built to standard specification would cost about £12,750 Inc VAT.
