New design from Smart Garden Offices

Smart Garden Offices have recently added a new range of buildings to their portfolio.

New design by Smart Garden Offices

Charlie Dalton the man behind the Smart Garden Offices range is one of the longest established names in the garden room / office industry and has distilled his years of experience into this new design.

Up until now Smart Garden Offices have focused on traditional style garden rooms and their portfolio includes the Classic Range and one of our favourite garden room designs the Suffolk Barn Range, but their new design is much more contemporary in design.

A design full of ‘on trend’ features

Reading the specification of the new Ultra Range we were impressed how many ‘on trend’ design features have been incorporated into the range from floor to ceiling glazing to bi-fold doors, floating walls and feature lighting.

The Ultra Range has a cubist form and we like how the Smart team have accentuated this by creating a detailing where strips of cedar are set into the black framework creating some very crisp lines.

Where most contemporary garden room designs feature whole walls of cedar cladding Smart Garden Offices have taken another approach using floating cedar panels which sit on top of the black core structure. This is a great feature on its own but opens up the option of inserting lighting behind the panels which would look great in the evening!

A unique building system offers a lot of flexibility

The majority of garden rooms we talk about on this site are either built on a traditional timber framework or by using Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s), but the Smart team have developed their own patented building system called TuSC. A lot of engineering has obviously gone into this system which creates a building with a high level of dimensional stability. The system uses the principle of compound rigidity which means the building is stronger the bigger it becomes.

The design of the TuSC system means that each panel locks into another, this offers a great deal of flexibility meaning you can mix and match different styles of wall panel i.e. solid wall panels, glazing panels doors etc without effecting the strength of the building.

A size solution for every potential use

The Ultra Range comes in 7 standard sizes from the Micro which has an internal footprint of 2.1m x 2.1m through to the Quinto which is a sizeable 6.4m x 3.2m.

With each size option you have flexibility over the positioning of the doors and glazing, meaning you can tailor your building to your garden and how you plan to use the room.

Options to personalise your design

Smart Garden Offices offer several options which allow you to personalise your design from choice of joinery colour to fitting blinds at the windows and built-in furniture.

You also have the option of choosing a different roof shape. The Ultra Range is flat roofed as standard but you also have the option of three pitched roof designs which will create quite a different look and create a light and airy interior.

Deal with only one team throughout the build

When buying from Smart Garden Offices you have the peace of mind of working with just one firm throughout the project.

The process starts with a free site survey. Your building will then be manufactured in Smart’s own factory. Smart Garden Offices will handle the groundworks your building needs and then fully install the building for you. This installation includes the connection of the electrics to the mains supply – not all suppliers offer this service.

Competitive prices

The Ultra Range is competitively priced. The Micro costs £5,710 plus VAT whilst the biggest model the Quinto costs £17,185 plus VAT.
