Gembuild Garden Offices

Gembuild have put more than 25 years experience into their range of garden offices, the extensive photo gallery above demonstrates the different styles of garden office they can create.

In a market full of contemporary cubes its super to see these traditional ‘ barn style’ garden offices and we particularly like the contrast of the dark feather edge cladding against the oak coloured UPVC windows.

Gembuild offer several ranges with different configurations of doors and windows, many designs feature a fully hipped roof which makes the buildings particularly attractive.

Gembuild require a firm level base or a level crushed concrete base, they then lay a vegetation mat and damp proof membrane under pressure treated sleepers and treated joists which create a suspended floor. 100mm polystyrene insulation is fitted between the joists and chipboard forms  a solid floor for carpet tiles.

The walls of the garden office are 170mm thick and are made up of a timber framework with 100mm insulation in between, the frame is sheathed in plywood which stops twisting and wrapped in a breather membrane, over this battens are fixed which take the feather edge cladding. Internally the walls are finished in vinyl finished plasterboard.

The pitched roof garden offices are finished in brown asphalt shingles whilst the 25 series has a EPDM roof covering. The roof contains 180mm of insulation and internally the ceiling is suspended and finished with vinyl finished plasterboard.
