Garden studio as good as new after storm damage

Earlier this year a tree fell on the roof of a garden studio in Solihull! The tree damaged part of the roof and the fascia boards. The studio itself is a 3m wide by 2.4m deep Hampton Grey by Sanctum Garden Studios. The owner loves their studio and uses it continuously so wanted it repaired as quickly as possible.

They contacted Sanctum Garden Studios to ask if they could repair the damage. The Sanctum team were happy to return to the site and assess and repair the damage. Luckily the Hampton Range makes use of an insulated roof panel system, and as only half of the roof was damaged, it was relatively easy to remove the damaged panel and replace with a new one.

These insulated roof panels are a sandwich construction with a white finish that forms the internal ceiling and a grey exterior layer with the rigid sheet of insulation in between. These panels can span wide lengths without additional support, so there was no roof framework that had to be repaired.

You'd never know the roof had been damagedThe tree had also damaged the fascia board, the trim that finishes the roofline neatly. The Sanctum team replaced the damage parts with new trims, so the roof is as good as new.

A thorough inspection of the garden studio was made, and the damage had not effected the structural integrity of the building other than this one panel.

Making a mark on the interior

As you can see the owner of this studio has really made their mark on the interior. They have created a feature wall on the rear wall, which really creates an additional connection with the garden. As standard, the Hampton Range is left for the customer to decorate, some people leave the basic board finish for an industrial look, but it takes emulsion well so you can make your mark with colour or as in this case a wallpaper.

It’s good to see that should the worse happen and your garden studio gets damaged, the original supplier will return and make it as good as new for you.
