Many schools and nurseries realise that a garden room classroom is a great way to create a modern, high specification learning environment for their pupils. Contemporary Garden Rooms have designed many classroom buildings over the years in their distinctive contemporary style. The have recently completed this example for a nursery school in Cheshire.
The large 10m x 6m building is based on their Apprentice-style of garden room. The Apprentice range has clean, modern lines and large amounts of floor to ceiling glazing creating a building with real inside-outside connections – this makes them great for enquiring young minds.
The substantial footprint of this classroom has been divided up to create the main room with kitchenette and two toilet cubicles. The connection of the mains water and waste suppliers were handled as part of the project.
The room is flooded with light thanks to the floor to ceiling glazing and skylights in the roof. The exterior is finished in sharply detailed Cedar cladding, and a deck has been included in front of the building creating easy access into the building.
As you can see from these photos, an inspiring classroom has been created for 30 young pupils. The impressive thing is the whole on-site build took the team just ten days.
