This month we focus on green design, generally the building system used in garden room construction is the greenest way to create an extra room, but some suppliers take this a stage further and create truly sustainable buildings which not only use eco friendly materials and building techniques, but use very little energy during their lifetime.

Also this month we look at different garden room roof shapes and the rooms they create. Although the garden room industry is dominated by flat roof buildings which are marketed as planning friendly, its a misconception that you can’t build a pitched roof design without Planning Permission, if you follow the height and positioning rules, these too fall within Permitted Development.
