Another successful Room4-you

The Room4-you team have sent through this photo and testimonial of one of their latest garden room projects – it just shows how well a garden room can slot into a small garden – and once established that living roof will look fantastic!

The customers comments:

I started out with a feature and benefits that I wanted, without any preferred solution. The feature was to have space for a home-gym, with the benefits being easy, 24/7 and 365 day access to a gym where there would never be any queues to use equipment and my favorite music was always playing. After deciding to buy a house that lacked a basement and not being willing to use heavy equipment on the suspended beams of the upper floor, that meant I needed some additional ground level space.

I considered a conservatory, a basic shed and a garden room, with the garden room being the least familiar of the 3. I chose a garden room for the following reasons:

Versatility -  I use the room as a gym, but it could just as easily be a home office, or a recording studio, or a workshop, or any number of any things.
Utility – Although conservatories have surely improved, only a well ventilated, insulated and heated garden room offered me the certainty of being able to use the room in comfort all year round regardless of temperature
Siting – Unlike a conservatory, I was free to place my garden room separate to the boundary of my house, meaning that my reception room still benefits from direct sunlight

After deciding upon a garden room, I contacted 3 providers, all listed on the Garden Room Guide. Two visited for a site survey and quoted for the work. Choosing was not easy, because both appeared to be professional, knowledgeable and personable, without sales pressure. I have no regrets about my choice. I benefited from guidance on topics I knew next to nothing about, enjoyed regular contact throughout construction including being kept well advised regarding timescale, and the finished product is very pleasing. Graeme also arranged for me a number of unrelated but desired works, such as minor landscaping and fencing, which allowed creation of the garden environment I was seeking without needing to interact with and coordinate multiple different parties. Much obliged Graeme!
